August 8, Meow!
We, here at Catness wish to salute cats.
Many thanks to our various friends who alerted us to August 8, International Cat Day. We thank Mireille for submitting the first Catness story about this day.
“International Cat Day is a celebration which takes place on 8 August of every year. It was created in 2002 by the International Fund for Animal Welfare. It is a day to raise awareness for cats and learn about ways to help and protect them.” International Cat Day — Wikipediahttps://en.wikipedia.org › wiki › International_Cat_Day

One of Taffy’s favorite things to do these days is to get onto the bookshelf in my office window, meow at me until I join her, and proceed to engage in “Big Cats Together”.
She likes when I have my arthritis half gloves on, which seem to make her think I have paws. She reaches out her face and gives my fingers the Cat Face Rub.

Dec 2006 — looking back to a very young Taffy
Deborah Camp recently asked me if we had any kitten photos of Taffy. Those below are all we have. They were taken by her foster mom, and they were really small and poor quality. Bruce “tweaked” them in Photoshop to try to improve them generally.
So here you go, Taffy in December of 2006.

Best Raindrops from June
Our friend Dennett loves to see raindrops on things. I didn’t have a lot, but here are the best ones. Maybe some of you can do some nicer ones.
