A nice story, Patricia. It sure is tricky to keep the fur from matting.

We try to keep Taffy, who has long hair, brushed often, but she does not like her tummy and trousers being brushed, and that is exactly where the mats start.I did manage to get some of them cut off with special blunt ended scissors for pets. Once the worst of them were cut I was able to free the remaining ones with help of a special brush, and a special comb. Mind you, she did not speak to me for several days after.😼
