Ah, yes, the uncalled for wakeups. I know them well.

What about the "horrible howl"? That one is pulled off at about 2 in the morning, and makes you think something really bad is happening. The cat in question roams around uttering this blood curdling cry, and when you get up to check, comes over purring and mipping innocently.

The toe attacks I can really relate to. Our cat, Shiatsu, was very nocturnally active. One of her most adored past times was to leap from the window above our bed and tackle our feet. Horrible wakeup!
