I notice that our cats behaviours modify over time. I think that, yes, they may become more clingy and vocal as they age, but I have always found that they go through phases with toys and places to sit.

There was one mousey toy that Taffy just loved for ages, then suddenly, she lost interest in it and took over batting at a piece of paper on a string. Then she reverted to the mousey toy.

We notice than since Gandalf crossed the bridge recently, Taffy has become more clingy and a lot more chatty. She has also gotten a lot more assertive.
