Bulbs? The bunnies and squirrells will be celebrating unless it was Daffodils you planted.
I have found that the only way to deter those thieving wildlife is to encase the bulbs in rabbit wire wrap when planting. A big pain, but does prevent the bulbs from getting dug up and destroyed. Daffodils are poisonous to them, so they will not normally bother.
Another very handsome spring flowering bulb called Frittileria also keeps them away. This bulb emit a strong skunk smell. so if planted near your Tulips, will act as a barrier to greedy wildlife.
Frittilaria comes in several different varieties, tall medium and short: Crown Imperial - about 3 feet tall is the showiest of all.
