Chris, to me your poem is excellent. And sweet, and kind and romantic and filled with love.

Just from the standpoint of rhyming and meter, it was excellent. That alone makes me like it, because of the poetry of Walter De la Mare, Keats, Longfellow W.H. Davies and the like.

Too often modern poetry is missing many of the elements of the “old fashioned” poets that I grew up with. In my opinion.

Your lovely poem, an ode to lovely ladies in your life, was very touching and reminded me a lot of some of those poets of old.
