Credit and collctions was always a brutal business to be in. As you mentioned those poor truckers, trying the best they could and not able to make the payments. The real flakes were the career crooks who made living out of bilking creditors, and we usually found out who they were. It wasn't too bad in commercial collections - what I hated was the small retail.
