dick, what a lovely compliment. I was unfamiliar with Alexander Caldwell — just had a quickie look at some of his work. Thank you!!!!!! My art influences come from a wide range of amazing people starting with the old classics like Vermeer and Davinci, and many of the more moderns like VanGogh, Degas, Picasso, even Dali. Sadly I cannot really paint worth a damn, but the computer sets me free.

Medium keeps tinkering with the look and feel of the site, and I can understand their love affair with the Iphone, but I dislike their manner of forcing everyone else to conform. Photos now have to be tall and narrow — WTF? What about images that need to be seen as landscape???

I think that the issues with publications is more a case of inept software implementation rather than deliberate sabotage. They are short staffed and concentrate more on the iphone re-design thing than on actually making the site more user friendly and functional.

However, having said that, it remains the only place, really, that one can publish online. I have looked at a lot of other sites and they all suck even more.

I honestly do not think they give a plugged nickle for people like us — they are only interested in the Big Money Generators.
