First of all, Dennett, thank you for telling to us about this (these) problems. I really feel that sharing your thoughts and feelings with others is a really good way to help to improve state of mind. (Even if it doesn’t feel like it at the time.)

Secondly, much as we would all like to help, all we can do is send the proverbial “good vibes” your way. In my case, it will be Reiki. This I will do, both for you and for little Sophie.

It is, indeed, a terrrible and heartwrenching thing when something goes wrong with one of the furkids. We have been this route many times, and it never gets any better, so again, all the rest of us can do for you is send good thoughts and vibes your way.

Walking may not completely do away with the pain, but it definitely helps to get out and, as you said, put one foot in front of the other. I applaud you for doing that.

I also applaud you for WRITING. When I get morose, I cannot even move myself to write, so you are amazing for keeping up the writing. Your writing is great and I love your beautiful images. You are an inspiration to me.

It is heartbreaking about your grand children and I feel so bad for you. Nothing worse that this type of situation because one is no longer in control of anything which is very frustrating. It’s the lack of answers to “why?” that is the worst, I think.

Lastly, I am so grateful to you for giving Catness a shout out. ;-)
