First of all, nice to hear from you. thank you for following and reading the pub, even if this particular post was displeasing.Prior to publishing, I read that post and had some misgivings. However, the reason I didn't flag it was that I felt she was presenting it in an opinion post. Maybe I missed an inference that she was suggesting that she was an expert ... but I thought that since she had mentioned following her vets recommendations, that it was not out of bounds. She said that after feeding her cat only wet food, the cat got gum disease, etc. and that after clearing that up : "Not unexpectedly, we switched to primarily dry food, at doctor’s orders"So she says she switched to "primarily" dry at the vets orders. She didn't say that she just started feeding the cat only dry.She does not appear to be holding herself up as an expert, but telling about her experience. My own approach is to give a vet recommended diet combination of wet and dry and have been adding in a supplement for some time now, which appears to be helping both of them. Both cats are senior. One is at the end of his life and has pancreatitis and stage 3 kidney disease. Diet is critical for him. He gets medicated wet and dry food for the kidney issue and special oral dry food for the gums and teeth. so the ratio is about 50/50.Please let me know what you think about my response at this point. I respect your opinion but feel that it may be a little overboard to remove the article. You can also email me if you wish. wezel2@gmail.com
