One cannot be too careful about animal dental health.
All of our cats had had to have tooth extractions (they were all rescues) due to bad teeth issues.
Some of the older cats resisted mightily to us cleaning, even with two people plus the towel wrap so we have sometimes had the vet do it. so far they have manged to do this without putting them under
