Good one, Nancy. People should definitely NOT leave their critters alone in the house.

We had a dog once who was SO prone to separation anxiety she had to have both of us in her sight ALL the time. That was a bit of a trial. One could look forward to destructive behaviour if she was left even for 5 minutes.

Our cats are very bonded to us, and dislike when we leave the house, but on the whole are much more tolerant than our dog was.

Any time we have taken a trip we have taken the furkids to a reliable boarding facility. this has worked out. Fortunately.
