So true how we tend to give things to our pets - cats and dogs - that we think they will like, but actually, often they prefer the box the thing came in.

Taffy is easily bored and after a few minutes of actively chasing one of her toys she disappears into her tube and stares out morosely. Meowing irratably.

I have found that what she really likes is for me to sit on the floor near the tube and "play bat" the sides. then she play bats, and so on.

Totally true about rediscovering old toys!!
