Good summation of the current situation, Araci. If you support one side, you are seen as going against the other.

Sadly, there are no easy answers. This conflict is not new.

Basically - two peoples want the same piece of land. Neither side wants to give an inch and never has, and probably never will.

In the middle of this are the ordinary people, who just want to live day to day.

The west is concerned about oil and is ready to jump in to try to protect its own interests. Russia see this as the perfect distraction to allow it to continue to attack the Ukraine.

The UN wants a ceasefire to deliver humanitarian aid. That of course would not be respected by HAMAs or others of the same ilk.

If fuel is allowed into the area, HAMAS will take it for their own ends.

It is an ugly, insoluble mess. And, in the much bigger picture, who has the most to lose?
