Great article, Elan. I truly feel for you, it must have been Hell o n wheels coping with this as a child, and even still, as an adult.

We actually have a neighbour that suffers from this affliction, and his wife does all those things that you describe you and your brothers doing to keep the guy pacified.

(I by the way never pull any punches with our neighbour, I give him hell each and every time he acts out in public. I think my best shot was when I told him that he was damned lucky I wasn't his wife, because I would have killed him a long time ago. He was quite taken aback.)
