Great photos, and interesting article.

Really unfortunate that this beauitful but invasive tree has not been found to have any benefits (other than its beauty and the fact that it filled in a devastated and bare landscape.)

Actually, the fact of it's filling in a bare area is positive, because uncovered soil tends to erode, and erosion is negative for people, since it means the tops woil is blown and washed away.

Probably what needs to happen is that deeper stufy of the plants needs to be undertaken and careful husbandry of them to reduce invasion.
