Please do not delay in getting him chipped and fixed. God forbid he should ever get out, but these things DO happen. the chip is a lifesaver, and fixing is also a safety thing. Just in case he does ever manage to get out. He is clearly a resourceful little beggar.
I have read so many stories about animals that are chipped, go walkabout or are stolen and thanks to that chip are reunited with their families.
