It's funny that you wrote about this. Our remaining kitty, Taffy, has always been a scaredy cat, and is pretty shy too.

We have always allowed her to have her "safe space" which is Bruces' office. She has been known to share it voluntarily - like with Dilly (R.I.P.) and Gandalf (R.I.P.), but we notice that now, having been the only cat since mid September 2021 - Taffy has become a lot more social and less afraid.

She has become a lot more demanding of "playtime" and while she clearly regards Bruce as her special Big Cat, and will not bite or hiss at him, she seems to look on me as her "Play cat" and more than happy to play rough.
