Great subject, Rocco.
As it stands right now, houses/abodes are vastly overpriced. A normal, middle-class working couple cannot even save enough to put a down payment on a modest home. Some recent research we read about suggested that nowadays it would take 20 years for a couple to save enough for a 20% down payment.
Something that infuriates me (here in Ontario, Canada) is seeing small houses that would make great first homes, bought by developers, torn down and replaced with oversized homes that are then sold for huge prices.
