Ha ha, not me — if someone is rude or physically agressive I do NOT ask myself this at all — my response is immediate and usually hostile.

I put it down to short person syndrome. I am very short and feel that I must show that it doesn’t matter. As a short, lightweight person, I feel the need to puff myself up mentally and go after the attacker with twice the force that they used on me. This is instinctive with me — always has been, even as a very small child. Example, at two years old a male playmate grabbed my arm and attempted to kiss me, my instant response was to use his toy train to club him. No one showed me to behave this way.
