Hi Justin John

Thank you for taking the time to respond in such a thoughtful manner.

No, your lack of photos of older ladies does not offend me.

I believe that many older women are ”not comfortable in their skins” and so would be reluctant to approach a photographer such as yourself for a session.

For me, getting ready for a shoot is stepping into a special role. I finally persuaded Bruce that he should take the time to do some work with me, and we actually have done a couple of fun shoots.

I decided to do a tribute to 1920’s film vamp, Theda Bara and spent time studying her and her makeup for the shoot. The photos came out really nicely. https://medium.com/weeds-wildflowers/the-first-true-goth-4820d8c72a6a

We did a shoot using interesting natural lighting effects that worked out quite well. I prefer how the Theda Barlow shoot worked out, but this one wasn’t bad.

The next project is a tribute to 1930’s beauty Jean Harlow. I just finished going over the mood board with Bruce. He had some lighting ideas already and I have the makeup look set to go and am getting the wardrobe organized.

Thanks for reaching out. Take care and stay safe.

Louise
