Indeed, it is a very tricky issue, Deborah. I have some concerns about allowing large animals on the bed or furniture. On the bed, there are the issues of getting pushed, nudged or lain on. Not too keen on that. We always made sure that our dog had comfy beds in every rooom. If we were not home, the only way to keep her off the bed was balloons.

The cats always take naps with us, wherever we lie, on the floor, on the couch or on the bed. The only one that came on the bed at night, was Gandalf. He always lay near me, preferably across my legs.
