interesting point of view,Henry. I grow my garden for the betterment of the pollinators.

I do occasionally have flowers indoors, but usually because there were gifted to me or because an outdoor catastrophe has cause breakage.

My Rudbeckias and my Shasta daisies like to grow tall and often suffer broken stems. These I cut and bring in.

The biggest culprits in severing flower stems are the squirrels, who pointlessly nip the stems only to discover they are not tasty, and leave a ruined flower .
