Interesting. These are issues that do not seem to be meaningful for me.

I write because I like to write. I don't give a plugged nickel if Medium selects my work for "further distribution". I have some writers that I follow, read and like, and I have a small group that do the same for me. I am happy. Years ago I wanted to write and get paid. Now I am glad to write and get read.

Medium serves me as a place I can publish. That works for me. ;-)
