Interesting thoughts on the pros and cons of changing venues, as it were.

I have wanted to visit Japan for years, with the main goal being to visit Kyoto to see the amazing stone gardens. At one point I even thought about becoming an English teacher (at that time there was demand) so that I could remain there for a time to study the art of creating a Japanese stone garden. Clearly that never came to pass.

My parents travelled extensively with me when I was small and I learned to really dislike traveling, longing for a stable home.

It is pretty late in life to look at uprooting to elsewhere for us. Plus, we are not sure there is a better choice than where we are.
