I feel complete empathy for you having gone through a similar experience.

We adopted a lovely, 6 year old Border Collie Cross in September 2017. We had no choice but to put him to sleep in July of 2018 due to severe and dangerous behavioural issues and total unpredictability.

I still have not been able to write his story here. I still feel huge pangs of guilt, even this long ago. We still do not feel great about adopting another. We experienced a lot of negativity for putting him to sleep, and there are some so-called animal advocates who still do not speak to us.
