Me, Alan. I am going to read this beautiful and also heartbreaking story.

Joana, I am so very sad that you had so much turmoil in your life, and even now, continue to be a restless soul.

I think that you have accomplished a great deal and have overcome huge obstacles in your life. You have my admiration.

When I was growing up in Portugal you were not even born, and Salazar was the president. We knew of the poverty in places around the country, but lived in this little bubble just outside Estoril where people were okay. Because we were poor foreigners we were in a strange position. It is my understanding that things really went downhill after Salazar passed on, is that true?

It sounds like people had really horrible lives while you were growing up. It saddens me that Portugal has changed so much.

Com muito amor e simpatia, e abraços também. (thank you Google translate my Poruguese has gone down hill.) XXO
