Miana, this was a good article (A tad too long - would have been easier to read in two parts -LOL).

First I would like to opine that the labels of leftist and rightist are very misleading. They no longer have the same meaning as in days gone by.

I consider myself to be a Conservative, or rightist - but in no way do my values align with the current breed of Conservatives and or rightists.

What you say makes a lot of sense.

I have suffered from Manic Depression for years. I took the prescribed Carbo lith and found that it killed my creatitivity. So, I learned to handle the condition with lifestyle and diet changes. I am lucky that I COULD adopt these methods. Many cannot, as you point out.

It really is fallacious to think that eradication of capitilism will eradicate mental issues. There is not nearly enough information available on the subject. Plus, as you point out, not all mental issues can be attributed to monetary issues.

Every year I try to hire a young person to help me with my landscaping jobs. Out of 12 or more people I have hired over time, only one was (apparently)without issues. The rest had a variety of diagnosed issues. Autism, personality disorder, psychotic, Asbergers. the majority of them were Autistic in some form.

Of the various friends and family in my circle most have some issue. Why then if there is so much of it out there can we not figure it out?

None of my kids would have been helped by wiping out capitalism. In fact to the contrary. If I didn't have well off clients, I wouldn't have had jobs, and if I hadn't had jobs, I would not have been able to hire these kids, who, it turns out, could not work at regular jobs.

These people who seem to like to oversimplify the issues, and think that they are lefties - well, I do not think they are true lefties, I think they are just social reformers in Sheeps' clothing.
