Michael, I think your trouble antennae are in good working order. I wish I had something useful to say on the subjct. On the face of, I really don't like the sound of this guy.

Possibly the idea of introducing your assorted friends and family might help. It depends upon how many radicals are friends and neighbours of Truck guy.

Your tool chest sale probably made the guy think "Oh good this guy is actually not a bad sort, even if he does have some "different" friends".

On the surface of it, he may just be one lone jackass, but he might also have a bunch of jackass buddies.

Additionally, he might just be a truck and hog obsessed jackass.

These days everyone is super ready for a brawl. Many folks do not like "different" it makes them feel threatened. It's often case of "you not in my tribe, I kill you".

In a way it might be good to introduce your sons and his big buddies to the guy just so he won't have any excuse to say "Oh these strangers are in my neighbours house, they might be breaking in".

What would be really great is if these big guys knew a bunch about trucks and motorcycles, that puts everyone on even ground.

My Dad was Jewish. He was sure the regular world despised him for that.
