Never heard of this until today. Everything you have said about this fruit makes me feel very unlikely to go near one should I find it.

That term "bletting" could come in useful as a novel imprecation. "You are totally bletted" "Blet you" "I bletting well won't" "What the blet..." are some that come to mind. Sorry, Ella, that's how my evil mind works.
