Nice one, Adrian. I totaly agree that dogs should be given freedom in the appropriate circumstances.

Having said that, I am intensely irritated by the large numbers of stupid owners who: do not or can not control their dogs on or off leash; refuse to understand that some people do not appreciate being jumped on by out of control dogs; that refuse to leash up their dog in non leash-free zones, when it is misbehaving and annoying other dogs (and People).

In my opinion, it is never the dogs fault. It is always the owner who is at fault.

The idiotic breed specific legislation which often targets pit bulls, rotties and dobies - should instead be changed to owner specific legislation which would prevent stupid, show off, macho types (of all sexes) to have the so-called mean breeds and to treat them in ways which causes them to become agressive..
