PSA Re Posting Stories to FaceBook
FB is experiencing a major tech glitch which is causing them to reject (ban) stories and re-posts from certain sites.
The message you get says that whatever your post was it “goes against community standards”.
This goes for any post at all: cat photo, dog photo, useful information about Covid 19 — whatever.
Apparently our very own Medium is one of the “suspect” sites.
They are su pposedly working on the problem, and have stated that they will be reinstating the “banned” posts.
I won’t hold my breath.
I also will not be posting anything that I write here to FB.
You might want to hold off also.
UPDATE:
(Mar 20, 2020) I was surprised to receive some “mea culpa” notifications from FB this morning. They stated that they are reposting some stuff they “banned” in error, and are sorry for the mistakes.
This half a$$ed apology from FB does not change my opinion of them. In the past, they have applied ridiculous content bans on people I know, and I feel sure they will continue to do so.
