Right on, Deborah. In addition to not seeing much real laughter about, I must say that I am not much of a fan of the current brand of humour, and that many of the so-called comedians leave me cold.
We hvae recently been watching an old Irish comedian called Dave Allen. Real belly laughs with him. The humour is not mean spirited or tons of swearing, its just darned funny. His timing is brilliant.
I really do believe that the current trend of politically correct, so-called inclusive, and offensive language humour can be blamed on the snowflake crowd.
Everyone is so sensitive these days.
One thing that happened post stroke, and apparently is a known thing, is that for no reason at all, I will suddenly begin to laugh like a hyena and can't stop, and definitely need to be close to a bathroom.
