Sadly, the disregard for our planet is not really a party-line thing, in my opinion.

Both sides have equal blame coming. Same here. Our Liberal (pretty equal to Democrats) PM SAYS he is on side with saving the plant, yet continues to make deals with countries and companies that have total disregard for the planet. As do many of the so-called right wing politicians.

What it boils down to is MONEY/ PROFIT.

And who puts these jackasses in government???? WE do.

How many ordinary effing people actually have a full understanding of what is happening to the planet?

Not too freakin' many.

One really small thing: Dollar stores. Ordinary freakin' people love them. Everybody loves them. Get stuff cheap. Where does that cheap stuff come from? China for one and other countries that are merrily destroying the planet and abusing their people.

But, if we STOPPED cheap stuff and began to actually make stuff in our own countries, how many ordinary freakin' people would appreciate that?

How many ordinary freakin' people understand the true cost of getting cheap stuff?

No too freakin' many.
