Sorry, P.. Late to the party.

Sadly, while Medium continues to be the only choice for writers, it continues to be very annoying.

They still have a million user interface issues but instead of working on them, so as to make the experience nicer, they continue to muck about and tweak a bunch of other things which are irritating to writers.

I do not do the writing to get paid thing. I write if and when the muse strikes me, but I feel for those that do like to get paid.

Medium has not been really helpful. The new management are not lot better than the old management, just different.

It is annoying that they are the only game in town, and know it.
