Thanks to the Editors and Publishers!
That Help to Highlight Our Work
As we approach Christmas and the end of 2020, I just want to reach out and say “thank you” to our Editors for including me in their various publications.
I love to write, and what I really like is to know that my story reached out and touched somebody.
It is always really nice when an editor of a publication invites one to become part of their group of writers. And it’s really nice as one becomes familiar with the other writers on a publication.
Each publication has its own particular community and vibe, and it’s always fun to write something specifically for that particular publication.
Recently, I was asked by Muhammad Nasrullah Khan to become a writer for Show Your City. As a result, in researching for and writing a piece on Portugal, I have been given the great opportunity to go back in time and revisit the country where I grew up. I just wish I had more original photos from that time.
I was invited by LB to become a writer for Chance Encounters. Writing for Chance Encounters has given me the chance to recall some interesting incidents from previous times. Incidents that have come about as a result of a chance encounter.
My friend Dennett offered me the chance to write for her publication, Weeds and Wildflowers. I love the variety of themes I can address in this publication. One of my faves is “This Happened to me”. I love the community there.
Rabia Akram has just started a publication called Tree Stories, and has invited me to join up as a writer. For me this is great, I am a tree activist, and have lots to say about how trees are treated. The opportunity to spread good information about trees is welcome.
Snapshots editors Allan Rae (alto) and David Montgomery have been very welcoming and I love being in Snapshots. So many great people! It is actually through Snapshots that I got to meet Dennett.
Other publications here that I greatly appreciate and for which I am a writer include Lori Browns’ Ruff Life, featuring animal stories, P.S. I Love You where I have been privileged to publish stories about departed friends, Art and Marketing where I have been able to showcase some of my computer art.
So a big thank you to everybody, and a heartfelt wish that all of you have a wonderful Christmas, a lovely New Years’ Eve and that we all have a wonderful 2021.
