That's great, Inge, that you understand the importance of providing water for the birds. Many people do not, and although they put out bird feeders, the poor birds have no water.
Our winters are tiresomly long, so we have heated bird baths that allow the birds (and a few other animals) to enjoy a sip of non-frozen water in the winter.
It is always fun to watch the different birds taking turns for a drink. the robins arrived very early, last week and have been hogging the bird bath, but the Juncos and Cadinals manage to take a turn also.
