We live in Southern Ontario, Canada. A few years ago the West Nile virus hit a huge number of birds - Blackbirds, starlings, sparrows, finches, crows and Bluejays, The crows and the Blue jays seemed to be the most affected and we saw a dramatic decline which lasted until this year,
