Well, Calli, I think that you are quite right. January is for me, the most difficult month in the winter. Maybe because here , where I live, it is usually the bleakest month. The days, although getting longer, are still dark. There is usually little sun to cheer us on, and it is usually very cold.
We go out to shovel and blow snow, we get wet and cold, then back in to remove what appear to be endless layers, then watch the city snow plow go by and dump a 2 foot high pile of snow in front of everyones' driveways.
My only consolation is that as February approaches we are closer to spring.
