Good enough to keep me reading until the end.

Your writing has that 1800s feel to it — reminding me of writers such as Rider Haggard (King Solomons Mines), Richard Doddridge Blackmore (Lorna Doone), Anthony Trollope (Barchester Towers), Thomas Hardy (Tess of the d’Ubervilles) and James Fennimore Cooper (The Deerslayer) just to mention a few.

I feel that our present education system failes to provide students with the rich language and descriptive powers of past writers, so that it is refreshing to read a modern writer who appears to embrace a long forgotten style of writing.
