Well you lovely, gracious person! I can definitely say that we can agree to disagree.

I really think that none of the Royals have any degree of freedom. People criticize them, but let's say one or more of them rebelled and said "enough" and walked out, what would they be qualified to do? NOTHING.

They are born into that life and brought up into it. They have little choice. They also have little choice about who they can wed, and who can be in the "line for the throne".

When you get right down to it, there is an element of Hitlarism in there. "keep the race pure" in their case "keep the bloodline pure".

Of course this "keep the bloodline pure" thing has caused problems in the past, as I feel sure you are aware. Madness being one.

So at the heart of it - are the royals racist? In so much as they are required to keep the line to the throne pure, then I would say yes. Personally, probably not. Especially not Queen Elizabeth who is a kind person from all accounts.

Anyway - I must admit I do not think much of Meghan. I feel that if you voluntarily go into a snake pit, you are asking for trouble.

I would go so far as to say that I do not think that marriage will last long. Once all the spendid trappings are gone, and the supposed wealth, I think we will see Meghan making for the hills. Leaving Harry hanging out like wet washing. ;-)
