What a lovely first-thing-in-the-morning stroll for me, Christine!
I loved all the shots, but a few rose to the top for me.
That Primula is just amazing, but a very sad indication of how messed up our seasons are these days.
Your shot of the dandelion clock is really a show stopper for me.
I love Nigella, but have no luck in growing it. My neighbour two doors down has a ton of it in her front gardem, and is always giving me seeds, but unfortunately they refuse to propgate in my garden.
I was interested in the information about the red squirrels.
In our area, the red squirrels are the aggresive species and chase, fight and kill off any other types they encounter. They also kill small birds, raid nests and steal and eat any eggs they find. Our more common Black and grey squirrels are intimidated by them.
Looking at your photo of one, ours look quite different. it seems that ours are most likely the American Red Squirrel (Tamiasciurus hudsonicus), whereas yours are most likely the European variety (Sciurus vulgaris).
Anyway, Terrific information and a lovely tour through your garden and neighbouring greenspaces.
