What an inspiring article, Deborah. I love your photographs, especilly the second one.

Although not a birder per se, I am happy to report that in our garden and neighbourhood we are blessed to have many species of birds year round.

I love to see the changes in birds as the seasons change.From January to March we have great numbers of Robins congregating around our heated birdbath, followed by Hummingbirds heading North, Juncoes, Chicadees and American Goldfinch visiting our garden for seeds, Cardinals preparing to build nests, Various types of Blackbirds looking for likely sites, and large numbers of different hawks sailing around above, just to mention a few.
