Yay! that is really good news. Many people are convinced that they should buy from a breeder.
Now, once in a while one may end up with something really bad - we did - but really out of 6 rescues, only one dud is not so bad.
Our fail was a 6 year old collie cross. There was no info at all on him, he was picked up as a stray. they had recently neutored him.
At first he seemed to a very pleasant little dog, but within 24 hours revealed that he was actually completely psycho. We spent a year and fair amount of money trying to train and fix his issues, but eventually he got so bad that we had to make the awful decision to euthanize him, He had attacked both us on multiple occasions and could not be trusted. He would be sweet one moment and a raging maniac the next - with no provocation.
Inspite of that experience I still would rather adopt from a rescue.
