I think that Alan is very annoyed, but feels that Medium is out to get him, so is not surprised. Personally - I think it more likley that he is the victim of a supremacist hate attack, since he is very vocal about his opposition to certain political sectors.

Medium is just this big, neanderthal entity that responds to abuse reports in a typically robotic way.

I think that Alan is tired and really ill and really is not planning on putting up much of a fight to get his account back.

He thinks that he might have inadvertantly done a copyright infringement with a recent post. Medium accused him of copyright infringement in a separate complaint they received.

Alan suspects the person reporting him is basically a troll. Not an actual writer, a faux account.

I don't know if Medium has any sort of a process where some of us could contact them and complain that his account is missing and demand that it be brought back. I find Medium difficult to figure out.

I think this is a heads up to all of us. Anyone could, at anytime, come along and decide to report us to Medium. The accusation will be false, but the report process would cause Medium to suspend the account while they "investigate".
