You partially got me there, Karen. ;-)

However, As you pointed out the Queen mum was beloved of the people. Do we know how she was received by the family and household at the time?

ALSO - I bet she was careful to follow all the required protocols. As I feel sure, were the others.

Diana of course, went a little wild, and must have really annoyed them.

No one at the palace was nice to Wallis Simpson. Her crime was being attractive to the then King, and being divorced.

Which brings us back to Meghan. Divorced, an actress, and not much for rules and protocols. I honestly do not think the mixed race thing was as much of an issue as she has (and Harry) claimed.

I think she did not like the tight rules and required protocols and fought against them. She has also been rumoured to have been very unpleasant to staff working for her.

She insisted on picking her own clothes, doing her own makeup and hair. Some poor staffer might have said "But my lady, we are supposed to do that", trying to do the right thing. Meghan might have reacted very badly to that sort of thing.

Lets say she comes into this new situation and is quite meek and willing to follow all their idiotic rules. They accept her.

But no - she comes in with her own ideas and refuses to bow to their rules, and quite likely is quite openly rebellious and hostile about it.

Then it's war.

She must have seemed like a ray of light to Harry, who I understand, was really upset over his Mums' death and probably suffers still. I also understand that Harry is not one for the rules thing himself.

Anyway, thanks for your comment. ;-)
